“This rhetorical analysis applies ideological criticism to the 2019 film, Parasite, in order to reveal how class disparities, hegemony, and the fallacy of the capitalist dream create systemic inequality that encourages opportunism over morality. First, I offer a review of my rhetorical approach, detailing the specifics of an ideological critique. Next, I will move into an analysis of Parasite where I will examine the visual aspects and thematic ideographs as a means of uncovering the underlying messages of the artifact. Finally, I will end with a discussion about the implications Parasite suggests social class, hegemony, and capitalism have on our society’s functioning.”

“This paper will analyze the ways the European Union has attempted to combat terrorism in Sub-Saharan Africa and the Sahel. Terrorists threaten the national security of Europe, and putting a stop to attacks and recruitment has been a for many international states… This paper will find how successful the Union has been at making peace and establishing itself as a powerful player on the continent. Case studies such as Kenya, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Nigeria will contextualize the issue. Cooperation with various international organizations, including the United Nations and the African Union, guided Europe’s pursuits. However, the results are very mixed, and many argue not enough was done to eradicate terrorists from Africa.“
